PHS Locksmiths, owned and operated by Kathy and Al Zaniolo, is located at 6808 Roosevelt Road in Oak Park, Illinois. Our staff has provided highly skilled and friendly service to homes, businesses and at our store since 1982. (Yes, we do make keys!)

As required by law, we are licensed by the state of Illinois to perform locksmith services.  This means that our business has provided proof of insurance to the Il. Dept. of Finance and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Also, that our locksmith employees' fingerprints have been scanned and run through the State Police and FBI criminal databases.

Kathy Zaniolo, CML is the founder and president of PHS Locksmiths. She started the business in 1982 in Forest Park and later moved the business to it's current location in Oak Park, Il.  She is a past president of both the Greater Chicago Locksmith Assn and the Allied Locksmiths for Illinois.  She is a member of the Associated Locksmiths of America and the Berwyn Chamber of Commerce.  She is a past board member and a current member of the OPRF Chamber of Commerce.  Kathy served for four years as the first Locksmith board member for the State of Illinois Private Detective, Security, Alarm and Locksmith Licensing Board.

Albert Zaniolo, CRL (retired) is a union carpenter turned locksmith. He started PHS Locksmiths with Kathy in 1982. After 32 years he has retired from active service, but he often stops by to check on how things are going and answer questions from staff and customers.

Felipe (Fil) Correa, CRL worked at Peasley Hardware in Forest Park where he found he liked making keys and fixing locks and wanted to know more. He completed the HPC locksmith training program and joined PHS Locksmiths in 1988. Since that early beginning he has become proficient in most areas of locksmithing, including commercial door hardware and safe servicing.

Joseph (Joe) Catallo joined PHS Locksmiths in 2012. Although new to our company he was a locksmith at Bullis Lock in Chicago for over 30 years. Solving lock problems and installations are his specialty.

Lauryn Correa is Fil’s daughter and joined PHS in 2017 as a summer job. She’s still part time as she continues to improve her locksmithing skills, and her roles have increased. She’s primarily working behind the scenes as the bookkeeper and answering phones. On busy days she also doubles as a key cutter in the store.

Stephan Zaniolo is Kathy and Al’s son and he started dusting shelves when he was 10 years old. He worked at PHS over the summer for many years through his schooling. After graduating from college in 2000 he worked as a computer programmer, but continued providing technical support to PHS. Starting in 2019, he officially returned to PHS part time and is working on updating and automating behind the scenes systems.

Max Zaniolo is the official Lock Hound and has been the full time PHS mascot since 2007.

Lizzy Zaniolo has been the part-time PHS mascot since 2009. Sadly, she passed away in July 2020. She is missed.
